Gerd Müller scored the 365 goals in a total of 427 Bundesliga games, all of which he played for FC Bayern Munich. Gerd Müller was the first to be top scorer in three consecutive seasons – he managed it from the 1971/1972 to 1972/1974 seasons. From 1966 to 1978, Gerd Müller was consistently among the top three in the Bundesliga’s top scorers’ list – twelve seasons in a row – and scored at least 20 goals in each season.

Müller’s career began at TSV 1861 Nördlingen, a small club in his hometown.
