How long do coronaviruses live on banknotes and coins? Is it possible to get infected through contact with cash? Experts from the European Central Bank wanted to clarify this question. The Department of Medical and Molecular Virology of the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) investigated. It appears that under realistic circumstances the risk of contracting corona is very small, according to the RUB in a press release.
