Kate Middleton’s style is often compared to those worn by her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales.
This photo shows how once Kate Middleton, while still in the status of the bride of Diana’s eldest son, Prince William, was captured with her sister Pippa Middleton in Cheltenham on the final day of the Cheltenham equestrian competitions in March 2006. On that day, Kate was wearing a light beige coat with brown pockets and cuffs and a fur hat, and shod in high brown suede boots.
A very similar image was once photographed of Princess Diana as she greeted the crowd on a rainy day in Carmarthen on her first official visit to Wales. The princess that day was wearing a coat with a belt at the waist of a similar shade and a miniature hat trimmed with fur. Diana was wearing high heels.
After the wedding of Kate and William, the images of the then Duchess of Cambridge began to be compared much more often with the images of Diana. It was very sweet that on the days of leaving St. Mary’s Hospital, where the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth, she picked up images similar to the images of her mother-in-law when she left the hospital with little Prince William and Prince Harry in her arms.
There were also many public appearances of Kate in similar outfits.
