“Coalition of the Modern Left” is the name proposed for the main opposition party by Stefanos Kasselakis to the Statute committee.
Of course, it turns out that he himself had this idea in his mind for quite some time.
On August 25, in an article in Vima had used the term “Modern Left” 4 times with capital letters…
“… the baton must be taken by the political program of the Modern Left, in order to express the whole of the progressive world, claiming pro-popular reforms, but at the same time recognizing the economic and political reality” he had said among other things.
Also, it is recalled that Stefanos Kasselakis had used the term in his pre-election campaign for the presidency of SYRIZA exactly one year ago.
Before the European elections, St. Kasselakis had told One Channel, unequivocally that “the name will remain SYRIZA”position which – it seems – he revised.
