A little more than a week remains for the first group of taxpayers who filed their Income Tax Return, between 01 and 08 of this month, to obtain their early refund.

There were almost 1 million 500 thousand declarations that the Internal Revenue Service (SII) received from natural and legal persons. For refund requests that are approved, the money deposit will be made on Friday, April 26. But what are the payment methods that can be accessed?

As detailed by the Taxpayer Ombudsman’s Office (Dedecon), once the declaration is submitted, the SII processes the information and determines whether or not the taxpayer is entitled to the requested tax refund. If this is the case, the chosen modality will influence the date on which the money is received.

Said payment is made by the General Treasury of the Republic (TGR) and can be received through bank deposit (checking account, demand account, savings account or RUT account), Caja BancoEstado or check.

To receive the return through Bank depositthe taxpayer must complete the required data in the final boxes of Form 22, detailing: “Name of the banking institution”, “Account number” y “Account type”.

It should be noted that the TGR will only pay the money to the holder of the bank account of the taxpayer who filed their Income Tax Return. In this sense, the RUT and name registered in F22 must match the data registered by the respective banking institution.

If the previous table is not completed or the deposit is rejected by the bank, payment will be made through BancoEstado Box one by one cheque, which will be sent to the tax address registered in the Treasury, depending on the amount of the refund. Of course, said document must be received by a person over 18 years of age.
