Mexican soccer is back! After a one-week break due to the FIFA date, Liga MX is back for Matchday 7.
However, this time there are two days (and not three) of matches between the 18 teams that are looking to win the 2024 Apertura championship.
Among the main matches was the Clásico Nacional, where Chivas and América are playing one of the most rivalrous games in the history of Mexican soccer.
Liga MX general table TODAY: How is Matchday 7 of the 2024 Apertura going?
The general table of the Liga MX for the seventh day begins with Cruz Azul as the leader of the tournament, followed by Tigres, and in third place Toluca and in these three places only the position of the felines (who moved up to third) and the ‘devils’ who moved up to second place were exchanged.

Liga MX Apertura 2024 Soccer: Date, times and results of matchday 7
Everything is ready for two days full of soccer matches with the 18 Liga MX teams as protagonists, these are the details of each of them.
Puebla 2 – 1 Queretaro
The first match of the weekend for football is between Puebla and Querétaro, who are desperate to get their first win in the current competition. The question is, will they be able to do it against ‘La Franja’?
And once again the ‘white roosters’ could not and left with a defeat where they received two goals (G. Ferrareis at 45′ and S. Ormeño at 77′) and could only score the discount (JE Robles at 65′)

Juarez 1 – 0 Mazatlan
FC Juárez is looking to redeem itself after its crushing 5-0 defeat against Chivas, while Mazatlán is looking for its second consecutive victory.
One goal was enough to end the match and the scorer was H. Ortega in the 53rd minute, but just one minute later J. García (from Juárez) was sent off.

Tigers 1 – 0 Atletico San Luis
Tigres, considered the best team in Mexico by CONCACAF, is playing its penultimate match this Friday against visiting Atlético San Luis, who is looking to take home all three points.
The Monterrey team gave a heart-stopping finale because they scored their only goal in the 90th minute plus 8 minutes of stoppage time. The hero of the night was Gorrariarán, but in the 34th minute Brunetta was sent off.

The first day of Matchday 7 of the 2024 Apertura ends with a match for the Pumas, who want to find their way back to victory.

On Saturday, September 14, Liga MX activity returns with Toluca’s duel against Xolos de Tijuana.
‘The Devils’ wanted to remain undefeated after hosting the team from the border at home and they managed to do so, thanks to a ‘goal party’ against the visiting team.
The goals were scored by R. Fernández (GEC) in the 39th minute, M. Ruiz in the 51st minute, J. Angulo in the 79th minute and in stoppage time j. Dias sealed the rout.

One of the most anticipated moments of the tournament, year after year, has arrived and it is the National Classic, where two of the teams with the most history in Mexican soccer take to the field with the pressures of a rivalry that has lasted over time.
América against Chivas is, without a doubt, the cherry on the cake of Matchday 7 of the 2024 Apertura.
And the ‘sacred flock’ cannot beat the ‘Águilas del América’ despite having started the match aggressively and creating clear goal opportunities, but without converting any of them.
The Coapa team scored in the 31st minute, just when the visitors were more dangerous, the scorer of the goal was R. Juárez.
