The hotel has 99 rooms on two floors and as in any accommodation, the price varies by season but to spend the night you have to pay US$28,000.
But the price is not the only factor that makes this hotel unique. It’s also about the experience: it has 24-hour private butler service for each suite and an average of six workers for each guest.
The hotel has a private helipad that can be converted into a golf course and was used as a racetrack in 2013. Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have passed through this multi-use terrace, while tennis stars such as André Agassi and Roger Federer have also played at Burj Al Arab. In 2013 the heliport was temporarily used as a race track for a Formula 1 competition.
The hotel is covered in some 1,850 square meters of gold leaf and houses the highest lobby in the world: 180 meters. The cheapest room has a duplex suite, with sophisticated hydrothermal mechanisms in the bathroom and select bedding that is stuffed with duck feathers. But the greatest luxury is found in the toiletries: those who stay receive a 14-piece Hermès toiletries set with soap, shampoo and perfume.
To enter the famous hotel in Dubai, designed in the shape of a sail by the English architect Tom Wright, you must have a reservation, either as a guest, a client of one of its restaurants or the spa. In addition, since 2021 there is a tour to get to know the hotel and to be able to enter one of its rooms. The price of the tour is US$70 and a private visit costs US$1,300 per person. The hotel also has several restaurants, such as El Olivo, dedicated to Mediterranean cuisine. However, the main establishment is specialized in seafood and is called Al Mahara. Run by Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw.
