In some Flemish municipalities 32- and 33-year-olds already receive their invitation, in others 51-year-olds are still waiting for their letter. The difference with respect to Wallonia is even greater: all 18-year-olds will be invited there by next week. “The willingness to vaccinate is lower there,” is the explanation. Nevertheless, the government continues to hope that enough people will opt for a vaccine in French-speaking Belgium as well.
