How high temperatures affect the body

What actually happens in our body when it gets hot and hotter and hotter?

Those who rest almost undressed in the shade find temperatures between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius to be ideal. In the sun, on the other hand, the body soon gets the first problems. Pictured: Brighton beach during the heatwave in England.

20 to 27 degrees Celsius: Everything is still good. We feel comfortable and the body has nothing extraordinary to do, at least when it’s clothed and in the shade and doesn’t have to move much. Its core temperature is an ideal 36.5 to 37.4 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the skin’s surface is 30 to 31 degrees. The heart works at a normal rhythm, pumping 5 liters of blood per minute through the circulatory system at 60 to 80 beats, supplying the brain, skin, intestines and other organs with it.
