“There is no appeal in God’s justice.”

Thus, Judge Veselin Hadjiev from the Plovdiv District Court commented on the announcement that the defendant in a crash with 2 victims 8 years ago is the man found dead on a bench in the area of Stochna Gara 2 days ago. In order to close the case, an official death certificate will be required, which is a formal procedure. And in essence, it turned out that God’s justice was ahead of Themis, because no one was convicted for the two victims, and the incident is dated March 30, 2014.

In the early hours of this day, after wandering around restaurants in Brestovitsa to Perushtitsa, two cars set off – a Ford Mondeo driven by Rangel Tashev, driven by his brother Ivan and their friends Nikolay Nikolov and Kostadin Malinchev, and a BMW driven by Lubomir Makedonski. . Tashev was moving at about 95 km / h, Makedonski – at 110. At a turn, Makedonski decided to overtake Tashev, whereupon he hit the Ford sideways. The car with the four passengers left the road and hit a tree. Ivan Tashev and Nikolay Nikolov died on the spot, the driver and the other passenger escaped with injuries. Lubomir Makedonski was also injured, whose BMW overturned on the side of the road.

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Plovdiv charges Rangel Tashev, claiming that he is to blame for the accident because he briefly entered the oncoming lane at the turn and thus blocked the path of the overtaking BMW. On October 30, 2015, Tashev was found guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison. He appealed and the roulette wheel turned, the case was returned several times in the pre-trial phase, new and new auto technical examinations were ordered and finally in 2021 the criminal proceedings against Rangel Tashev were terminated. Lubomir Makedonski was charged because he undertook the risky maneuver at an inappropriate speed, with 2.1 per mille of alcohol in his blood.

The indictment of Lubomir Makedonski was delayed because he suffered an accident, explained the prosecutor in the case Albena Georgieva. However, justice from above is not late.
