Stefan Raab is flexing his muscles! This time, he’s not talking about the 90 million euro deal with RTL, but rather a first fitness update on his Instagram channel.
Raab announced there months ago that he was planning a surprise. This later turned out to be a reboot of his legendary beating that he received from Regina Halmich. It featured a chubby ex-presenter who you would probably expect to find on the couch rather than in a boxing ring. Of course, it was just a ruse: the 57-year-old was “hiding” in a silicone suit.
He has now also used it for a new video, which he also uploaded to Instagram. You can see him preparing for the boxing match with Regina Halmich together with fitness influencer Pamela Reif.
Raab has been training in secret for five months. Here we see him again in his fat suit, groaning and sweating while fighting against a punching bag. At least he has taken off his sunglasses, which Raab was still wearing in his clip on April 2nd. He looks at Reif with a slightly nervous expression and says: “Coach, none of this is helping. I think I’ll call Pamela Reif.” Reif replies coolly: “I’m Pamela Reif.”

Stefan Raab and Pamela Reif: clever PR combination
In his teaser video, which some initially dismissed as an April Fool’s joke, the former “TV Total” presenter spoke of “Pamela Dingsda”, who was supposed to get him back on track. Of course, this was also a clever PR move. Within a very short time, both of them were fanning out followers to each other.
Later in the video, Reif gives up in frustration: “Stefan, unfortunately I can’t do magic either, I think the only person who can help us in a hurry is the doctor.” It remains unclear who the doctor is. Perhaps the next clip will be coming soon…
Whether all that training has helped will be seen on September 14th, when Stefan Raab steps into the ring again against boxing world champion Regina Halmich (to be seen on RTL). This time, probably without artificial padding.
