How Elena Guncheva became Putin’s enemy

Vazrazhdane MP Elena Guncheva faces between 5 and 15 years in prison if it is established that she has committed a crime against the republic.

But who is she?

In the 47th National Assembly, she is one of the new deputies that the audience remembered the fastest. Not only because of her scraping P, the soft pronunciation (which is why bad people on Facebook call her Ilena) and the slightly falsetto note when she is enthusiastic. And also because of the biting language and the accusations without restraint, which he constantly makes to the authorities.

This is Elena Guncheva – one of the most active and noisy in “Renaissance”. She was also the first to defend her leader Kostadin Kostadinov after Ukraine blackmailed him for 10 years.

From the rostrum of the National Assembly, the ruling Canadian faction “We continue the change” said that Dr. Kostadin Kostadinov could be a threat to national security. Yes, it is a threat, but not to national security, but to national traitors, she jumped then. He demanded that members of the government be investigated for their contacts and relations with foreign embassies, whether foreign ambassadors had influenced appointments in Bulgarian services, cabinets or other institutions, and whether they had influenced Bulgaria’s foreign policy. And a bunch of other things that Guncheva thunders with party pathos.

However, this has not always been the case. Her comment from 2017 is actively shared on Facebook:

“There has always been only terror in Russia!”

And Putin is the worst after Stalin. “

“I emphasize that I do not sympathize with Russia, but I am a Bulgarophile. I’m not a fan of either the United States or Russia. I sympathize with the Bulgarians. We have to look after our interests, we have no friends. Have you seen my post praising Russia and Putin? Then why is it said that I am a putinophile. No I am not. We should be grateful to Russia for freeing us. And that they have mistakes towards Bulgaria, it is clear “, claims the” new “Guncheva.

Lawyer and longtime lawyer in the municipality of Plovdiv – this is part of her professional path before the parliament. Elena Guncheva has been politically active since the early 1990s, when she was

member of the Democratic Party and

a man with openly right-wing views

Years ago, he briefly joined the project of Dani Kanazireva, who was then expelled from GERB and created the Union for Plovdiv, and is now an MP from Boyko Borissov’s party.

Guncheva quickly separated from Kanazireva, she was one of the founders of the Narod party, but she also left it for a few months.

I was in the Democratic Party in 1993. After that it disintegrated in Plovdiv. At the beginning of the transition, we all found out what kind of parties there are. With the exception of the BSP, there are no parties with ideologies in Bulgaria. The UDF was a gathering of parties – some left, some right. Then I saw, orientated myself and left, Guncheva describes her political transformations.

In recent years, she has focused her appearances on Facebook, where she thunders from morning to night and radicalizes to the point of calling Borisov “Onui” and the right – pink ponies.

Now, however, the former prime minister is no longer the subject of her writing. “He is not in power and he can’t do any harm at the moment. Criticism must be directed at the government. And one of my main questions is why he was released when he was arrested. I have no explanation why the responsibility of the people from GERB was not sought “, says the MP.

She is also extremely active in lawmaking. He is a member of the committees on health and regional policy. So far, together with her colleagues, she has submitted 9 draft amendments to laws, including the closure of the dossier commission, free parking for people living in paid areas, the abolition of the green certificate, etc. It has always actively violated the Istanbul Convention.

He writes not only laws, but also books, he already has two volumes –

“Bulgaria loves its heroes dead” and “The deafening silence of the Bulgarians”.

Therefore, it is no surprise to anyone that there are few plenary sessions in which Guncheva fails to get on the parliamentary rostrum. The rest of the time he actively devotes to writing on social networks. He posts several posts a day on Facebook, one of which provoked the indignation of the diplomatic corps in our country and the interest of the special prosecutor’s office.

“It’s a joke, an irony. That they didn’t understand it,

is their problem ”,

the MP commented on the investigation launched against her under the Criminal Code for incitement to war. On March 18, she wrote that “Russia has high-velocity weapons, so it can hit the Council of Ministers accurately if Kiro simply sends missiles to the jester Zelensky. We can also send her a link to Mustafa’s coordinates.”

“We continue the change” is a project of the American embassy, this explained the reaction of Nikola Minchev in the words of Guncheva.

However, she caused problems with her language even with the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov and was recently forced to remove a post in which she called the prime minister “Just Kiro”. But he did not want to comment on the incident and referred it to the party leadership.

The lawyer was a lawyer in the municipality of Plovdiv for many years. Her colleagues say that

as a lawyer she is completely different – competent and accurate

In the summer of 2020, he was at the protests every day, but he did not like the “poison trio” and then established ties with the “Renaissance”. And when those dissatisfied with Borissov’s administration blocked key intersections in Plovdiv, Guncheva said: “I am a lawyer, I will not do that.”

In the parliamentary elections in April and July 2021, he ran for MP from Vazrazhdane from the list in Plovdiv, but the party failed to enter parliament. He did it in November. He was then Kostadin Kostadinov’s candidate for vice president.
