How Drops work in League of Legends

Riot Games has fully revealed how drops will work for League of Legends.

This is the statement:

See League of Legends competitions it’s about to get even more exciting. Soon you will be able to start getting drops simply by connecting, to get prizes like champions, skins and blue essences.

How do these drops work? Drops come in the form of cards. Each of which represents a unique reward. The cards are randomly dropped during LEC broadcasts and come in four different rarity levels. The drops will be according to what happens in the matches. Epic plays could earn you rare loot.

Drops will fall into one of the following categories: Epic, Legendary, Mythical, or Ultimate. The rewards vary according to the rarity of the falling card; therefore, an epic card may contain a small amount of blue essence, while an extremely rare supreme card may contain skins, champion shards, or clash tickets.

To receive the drops, you must log in to watch.lolesports.com with your League of Legends account, and opted to receive rewards. When an in-game event triggers a drop, you will see a notification on the screen. Just click on the notification or check the drops tab on your profile to receive the rewards.

Watch Rewards is still enabled and available, with new missions added only for the summer of 2020. With the combination of Watch Missions and drops“Our goal is to make LEC the most dynamic and rewarding viewing experience in electronic sports.”

As notice, Riot Games has announced that it postpones drops temporarily until they can guarantee that the system will function properly. Drops was a feature that was expected in the competition and is already popular in other competitions.
