How do you transfer between banks with a fee of IDR 2,500 at BCA?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) has implemented an interbank transfer service, namely BI FAST on the website version of the myBCA channel. With this service, interbank transfers are cheaper at IDR 2,500 from the previous IDR 6,500.

BCA President Director, Jahja Setiaatmadja said that in the future BI Fast services will also be implemented in the myBCA application.

“This service will also be developed on other BCA channels in stages,” he said, in an official statement obtained by CNBC Indonesia, Friday (12/24/2021).

As is known, Bank Indonesia officially launched BI Fast, which is a national retail payment system infrastructure that can facilitate real-time, safe, efficient retail payments on Tuesday (21/12).

The launch of BI Fast is also a strategic step for Bank Indonesia in creating a modern national payment system as part of the implementation of the Indonesia payment system blueprint 2025. In the first phase, Bank Indonesia has synergized with 22 banks, one of which is BCA.

Through the BI Fast service, customers can now make inter-bank transfer transactions at a much more affordable rate than LLG transfers, which is IDR 2,500 per transaction.

“BI Fast is an adequate innovation in encouraging the modernization of Bank Indonesia’s SKN and retail payment system infrastructure. BCA certainly welcomes the enthusiasm of BI-FAST modern infrastructure organized by Bank Indonesia,” said Jahja.

For information, transactions on BCA digital channels during the pandemic increased rapidly. BCA’s internet banking transactions grew by 29% YoY to 1.09 billion transactions in the third quarter of 2021, while BCA’s mobile banking transactions jumped 55% YoY to 2.64 billion in the third quarter of 2021.

Thus, the portion of BCA’s digital banking transactions, which include mobile and internet banking, is 88% per quarter III-2021. On the other hand, the portion of transactions at branch offices was recorded at 0.5%.
