Mexico has highlighted its participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with three medals so far, and archery was one of ‘our favourites’, in which Alejandra Valencia and Matías Grande sought to add to the Olympic medal tally, although they did not succeed.
The athletes bowed out of the competition in the quarter-finals, where they were defeated by the German team in the mixed team category.
Despite the fact that the final match was very close, Mexico was unable to add another medal to the Paris 2024 medal table on August 2, while Osmar Olvera and Juan Manuel Celaya did.

Having already left Brazil behind by a score of 5-1, the next rival for the Mexicans to beat was Germany, with Michelle Kroppen and Florian Unruh, who demonstrated their power in archery.
In the first set, Mexico shot 8, reducing its chances of beating the Germans, who scored 38 points against the Mexican duo’s 37. In the second set, the situation was equal, with 38 points each.
However, it was in the third set where, despite improving the mark of the first, they could not overcome their rivals with 38 points against the 39 of the Germans, so they were eliminated.
