How did the inhabitants of Dijon and the Côte d’Or vote?

In our department, the results are similar to those found at the national level

After the announcement of the first estimates this Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the national level, the final results of the first round of the presidential election in the Côte d’Or department were sent to us at 11:45 p.m. by the prefecture. No surprise, in our department, the results are similar to those found at the national level. Emmanuel Macron comes first with 28.56% of the vote, ahead of Marine Lepen (24.44%) and Jean-Luc Mélenchon (19.05%). Regarding participation, the abstention rate is lower here compared to the national average with a rate of 21.23%. Out of 366,861 people registered on the electoral lists in Côte d’Or, 288,982 people voted and 77,879 abstained. There are 4,588 blank votes and 1,646 invalid votes.

Concerning local specificities, in Dijon, it is Jean-Luc Mélenchon who comes 2nd with 27% of the vote. And over the whole of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Marine Lepen is in the lead with 27% of the vote.

After the announcement of the results, as everywhere in France, the political figures of the Côte d’Or and the region were quick to react. We note, for example, the reaction of François Rebsamen who again confirms on Twitter his support for Emmanuel Macron:
