Currency exchange rates saw large moves against the pound today, rising to record highs of £32.20 before it fell towards the end of trading, which appeared on Arab currency exchange rates at local.
For the first time a currency cleared the 100 Egyptian pound level today, after the Kuwaiti dinar registered around 105 pounds in some banks’ trades today, before trimming its gains by day’s end.
The Kuwaiti currency was up at the end of the day at £97.30 selling and £96.79 buying, up about £7 from yesterday’s levels of £90.28 buying and £90.56 sale yesterday.
And in Al-Ahly Bank of Egypt and Egypt, the price of the Kuwaiti dinar reached £94.02 for buying and £97.43 for selling.
The price of the Omani riyal rose to £76.96 in buys and £77.50 in sales, compared with £71.76 in buys and £72.13 in sales yesterday, according to data from the Central Bank.
As for the price of the Bahraini dinar, it rose to £78.59 buys and £78.97 sells, compared to £73.27 buys and £73.48 sells.
The price of the Jordanian dinar rose to £41.73 buys and £41.93 sells, compared to £38.91 buys and £39.02 sells.
