how Daniel Offermann, member of Girls in Hawaii, created the music for the Belgian series

You haven’t heard of Coyotes ? It’s the new Belgian series which begins on Sunday May 16 at 8:50 p.m. on La Une and Auvio! In the meantime, we invite you to discover the credits and the music of the series, created entirely by Daniel Offermann, bassist of the Belgian group Girls in Hawaii.

Composed of six members mainly from Braine-L’Alleud, Girls in Hawaii is one of the most recognized Belgian groups by critics and appreciated by the public. Created in 2000, the group has to its credit five albums, several European tours and thousands of fans. Daniel Offermann, bassist, is one of the founding members.

The musician, himself a scout in his youth, was undoubtedly the perfect choice to compose the music for this series which takes place in the world of scouting. You should also know that it all started with the Boy Scouts for Girls in Hawaii. Lionel Vancauwenberghe and Antoine Wielemans, the two singers, did their very first rehearsals in the premises of the scouts they hosted at the time … When we tell you that fate does things well!

After the unforgettable credits of The Truce composed by Balthazar, we are therefore witnessing a new superb collaboration between Belgian music and series. For Coyotes, Daniel Offermann was quickly integrated into the creative process, receiving the script for the series early on. The musician used this material to create several models including the particularly captivating credits.

With the directors, we wanted something that was quite organic, quite rhythmic, quite dry, while keeping emotions all the same.

The composer has pushed the challenge to the end since he himself performed one of the songs in the series. “The song in Dutch, it’s set in a bar in Antwerp, and it’s really a charming singer’s song. I’m actually singing it.”

The soundtrack of Coyotes will be available from May 16 on all platforms. And you can already admire the superb credits in the video above.

To discover Coyotes, meet every Sunday from May 16 at 8:50 p.m. on La Une and Auvio!
