The specialty of the Saarbrücken agency: social media marketing for companies. Because many companies don’t have time to take photos, videos and good texts for their social media presence every day. Agencies like “ting” take care of that.

The agency team consists of agency boss Thorsten Bost, team leader Annika Reinert and one other employee. In addition, a trainee supports the work of the agency. The agency plans posts, advertises and writes the texts for the postings, explains the team leader.

The goal of the customers: they want to be seen by potential applicants on the platforms, says agency boss Thorsten Bost. The challenge lies in presenting companies on social media that young people would not think of directly when doing an apprenticeship because they are less well known.

Make young people curious

First, the agency looks at what makes the customer and their jobs special, says Bost. The agency then communicates this information on social media. Social media experts like Annika Reinert know what kind of content can make young people curious about a company, because they are active on the platforms themselves. The team leader has therefore “turned her hobby into a job”.

Develop strategy with companies

Together with the companies, the agency works out a strategy for how the company should be presented. You build a posting plan over a whole month, says Annika Reinert. For a scaffolding company, videos and photos are used to explain what the job of a scaffolder is and what the atmosphere in the company is like.

The agency monitors the posted posts and can access the contact details of potential applicants through a so-called funnel. Interested parties can be forwarded directly to application portals via a funnel, for example. This allows the agency to generate potential applicants. Depending on the effort, companies that use the agency’s work have to pay a five-digit amount a year.
