How Can You Kill With This!

Ambassador Ukraine for Israel, Yevgen Korniychuk, venting his frustration at the government’s refusal Israel to provide what he called ‘defensive assistance’ to Ukraine against the invasion Russia.

While wearing a protective helmet that Israel donated to Ukraine, Korniychuk asked how this kind of equipment could be considered lethal. So as reported ReutersTuesday (8/3/2022).

“Please tell me, how can you kill with this thing? It’s obviously impossible. So I don’t know what these people are afraid of. To provide personal security for Ukrainians… that’s the simplest thing they can do.” Korniychuk told local reporters.

It is known that Israel has condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but tends to limit itself to only sending humanitarian aid and maintaining communication with Russian authorities.

Israel has been coordinating its attacks on pro-Iranian militia positions in Syria with Russian military garrisons there, and considers Russia’s great influence in Western nuclear negotiations with Iran.

Russia has previously insisted that anyone providing lethal weapons to Ukraine for use in combat ‘will bear the responsibility’.

However, Korniychuk also thanked Israel for its efforts to mediate between Ukraine and Russia. He called this kind of mediation effort beyond the possibility of any military assistance.
