MANADOPOST.ID- Tuberculosis or TB is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. TB can attack the organs of the body, especially the lungs, but can also attack the bones, kidneys, lymph nodes and brain.

TB is still a health problem in Indonesia, especially in areas with poor environmental conditions and lack of access to health care.

Early symptoms of TB are persistent cough for more than 2 weeks, night sweats, fever, fatigue and weight loss. If left continuously, TB can cause permanent organ damage and even cause death.

Treatment for TB involves checking sputum, treating it with antibiotics, and isolating it to prevent the spread of infection. However, many people are not aware that they are infected with TB because they do not feel any symptoms. Therefore, TB prevention is very important.

TB prevention can be done by maintaining the immune system by eating nutritious food, getting enough rest, and exercising regularly. In addition, avoid smoking and live in a healthy and clean environment.
