KOMPAS.com – Banten High Prosecutor’s Office uncovered the alleged case grant fund corruption help for Islamic boarding school in 2020 by the suspect ES (36).
The funds suspected of ES corruption were unmitigated, amounting to Rp. 117 billion.
Regarding that case, Governor of Banten Wahidin Halim also asked the AGO to investigate it thoroughly.
“Morally, how could the money (for) Pak Kiai at the initiative of the Governor and as a form of appreciation from the Governor to the kiai arbitrarily cut it. That is not a mandate, it is an act of wrongdoing, I don’t accept it,” said Wahidin in a statement received by Kompas.com Monday (19/4/2021).
Banten is free of corruption
On that occasion, Wahidin also emphasized that under his leadership, Banten must be free of corruption.
He also admitted that he was hurt by the ES action. Wahidin even said that the act was immoral.
“We can find which people are involved so that they can be punished. Because it is not a big or small value, but rather a lust that has no conscience, no heart,” said Wahidin.
