He says that he is resigning “in favor of the other expatriate Greek on our ballot, the elected President of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis”.
But this seems to be difficult to do, because in order for the seat to go to Stefanos Kasselakis, the first 5 runners-up must resign.
The first runner-up is Popi Tsapanidou, who left SYRIZA after the resignation of Tsipras and everything indicates that she would give up her position.
He is followed by Michalis Kalogirou, a close associate of Alexis Tsipras.
