Discovery of hundreds of fossilized teeth and several vertebrae megalodon shark showing its enormous size.
Megalodon and great white shark teeth Bentuk (Carcharodon carcharias) show similarities so that the two species may be close relatives.
Thus, the shape of the megalodon shark most likely resembles that of the great white shark species.
Reported from Encyclopedia Britannica, the estimated body length of megalodon sharks was calculated using statistical relationships between fossil sizes megalodon teeth and the body mass of modern white sharks and other living relatives.

The calculation results show that the adult megalodon has a body with an average length of 10.2 meters.
The largest specimen has a body along the 17.9 meters.
However, some scientists think that the largest megalodon may have been as long as 25 meters.
Later, studies estimated that the body weight of an adult megalodon ranged from approximately 30 metric tons (1 metric ton is equivalent to 1,000 kg) to more than 65 metric tons.
