published a newspaper “Washington PostThe American News Agency reported that artificial intelligence will change the adult entertainment industry forever, by giving people the opportunity to create “dream girls” using this rapidly developing technology.
But like any field in which artificial intelligence is involved, many concerns arise for this technology in the manufacture of pornographic films that are very popular on the Internet, including the risk of actors losing their jobs, in addition to being deceived by creating content that depicts violence, rape, or sex with children or celebrities.
A report by the Journal of Sex Research published last year indicated that major pornographic sites are visited monthly by a larger number than major sites such as Amazon, Netflix, and TikTok.
Those in charge of this industry have always kept pace with technological developments, starting from video tapes to CDs, then the Internet and the exploitation of broadcast platforms, and currently there is artificial intelligence technology.
The Washington Post report indicated that Stephen Jones, one of the pioneers of this industry, hired 5 employees and began building an image generator that enables users to create what Jones calls the “dream girl” and relies on thousands of naked images that the user can imagine.
The newspaper explained that Jones currently has a user base of up to half a million people, many of whom pay to generate more than the five photos allocated for free daily.
After creating the “dream girl,” the visualization of the video clips begins, and here Jones says that the difference is that the person subjects the model to his personal desires, and does not have to wait until the account holder arrives on live broadcast sites such as “OnlyFans” and others, or browse pornographic sites to search for… Content he likes.
The report also indicated that in the end, with interactive technology, it is the user who gives instructions to lifelike robotic performers.
Jones explained that within two years, “there will be completely AI-powered cam girls,” referring to individual creators of full-fledged sexual content.
But this approach from Jones is facing lawsuits from copyright holders, alleging that generative models are being trained on copyrighted content, and those lawsuits could ultimately lead to the free images that someone like Jones benefits from being not used.
The other crisis, according to the newspaper, is its use for abuse. Although technological restrictions make it difficult for users to use images of children or celebrities, there is always a search among some users for alternative solutions.
The newspaper quoted Lawrence Walters, a lawyer who represents pornographic artists and major companies in the industry such as “Pornhub” and “OnlyFans,” that many pornographic film actors have signed contracts that give companies the right to reproduce their images in any medium permanently.
Walters said that the introduction of artificial intelligence technology will not only cause artists to lose their income, but they may find themselves in abusive scenes that they never consented to.
In December, the curtain came down on months of negotiations between major production studios and prominent actors over new contracts that included regulations for the use of forms of artificial intelligence.
A representative from a number of industry representatives said he has been receiving many inquiries about purchasing or licensing his clients’ AI models several times this week.
