How anti-vaccination campaigns spread doubts about science


A quarter of the Swiss population rejects the Covid-19 vaccination. However, many skeptics do not want to be seen as general opponents of vaccination. Yet they spread the arguments of conspiracy theorists.

Daniel Trappitsch is one of the most famous leaders of the Swiss anti-vaccination groups. For at least ten years he has been female on various channels against vaccinations of all kinds. On his website impfentscheid.ch he links half-truths and vaccination myths from conspiracy theorists from all over Europe. In his Telegram group, a few dozen active users post absurd stories about Bill Gates, stir up fear of infertility and denigrate political decision-makers.
