On “a lovely spring morning” in 1995, doorman Giuseppe Onorato, as always, stands guard outside his boss’s ornate private office. When Onorato is brushing up the leaves on the sidewalk, fashion icon Maurizio Gucci arrives with some magazines in hand. “Suddenly I saw a hand appear,” the doorman told the British newspaper ‘The Guardian’. “It was a nice, clean hand holding a gun.” The hand then fires three merciless shots at Gucci’s back. “I thought it was a joke. Then the shooter saw me. He lifted the gun again and fired two more times.” Onorato is hit in the shoulder. Still, the loyal employee turns to Gucci: “I quietly rocked Mr. Gucci’s head. He died in my arms.”
