Four submarine cables were damaged in another Houthi attack in the Red Sea. This led to interruptions in Internet communications between Europe and Asia, writes the Israeli newspaper Globes.

“The Houthis attacked underwater communication cables in the Red Sea. The damage led to serious interruptions in Internet communications between Europe and Asia. The main damage is felt in the Gulf countries and India,” transmits edition.

The conflict in the Red Sea escalated in January amid attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi group on ships in the waters. Militants are preventing the passage of ships heading to Israel out of solidarity with the Palestinian group Hamas. A few days earlier, the United States and Great Britain launched a coordinated strike on Houthi targets in Yemen for the second time, reports VSE42.Ru. Logistical problems in the Red Sea could lead to increasing prices for equipment in the Russian Federation, says Alexander Loginov, head of the personal systems department at OCS Distribution.
