After a day without games due to the US presidential election, the NBA regular season is back in action with 12 games scheduled. Among these, the Texas derby between the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs. It will be the third time these two franchises will meet in 2024-2025, each with one victory. This time, unlike the first two matches, the duel will be played at the Toyota Center, the Rockets’ home field. The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, have won 3 of the 7 games played so far this season. Without their emblematic coach Gregg Popovich, who has had health problems for several days, Chris Paul, Victor Wembanyama and their teammates have alternated between good and not so good performances, leaving them in 12th place in the Western Conference. A victory on Thursday on the parquet of the neighboring Texans would therefore be very welcome, a performance that the Spurs have not achieved for almost two years.
