The Astros traded right-hander Odorizzi to the Atlanta Braves in August last year after injuries, disagreements and a slump caused him to lose the confidence of the coaching staff. In his 36-game stint in a year and a half for Houston, the pitcher had a 10-10 record, a 4.04 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 164.2 innings. Odorizzi ended up in another trade to the Texas Rangers, who he won’t be able to pitch for this year after undergoing shoulder surgery.
