Libreville, Sunday June 11, 2023 (Gabon Info) – President Ali Bongo Ondimba met on Friday with an exploration mission from the Middle Kingdom led to Libreville by Ni Hong, Minister of Housing and Urban and Rural Development.
A Chinese prospecting mission in terms of housing has just visited Gabon. Led by Ni Hong, Chinese Minister of Housing and Urban and Rural Development, the said mission met on Friday with the Gabonese Head of State, Ali Bongo Ondimba. During this visit, the Chinese delegation was able to make a visual inventory of this sector of activity and listen to the Gabonese side on the expression of its needs both in terms of capacity building, training and requests. supplies and materials in the said sector.
The visit to Libreville of this Chinese mission comes the day after the state visit made by President Ali Bongo Ondimba last April to China. On the occasion, a legal framework fleshing out bilateral cooperation between Gabon and China was consolidated by the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), particularly in the field of housing and urban development. During their discussions, the Head of State indicated to his hosts his firm desire to see his compatriots have better urban architecture both in the cities and in the hinterland with a view to “better being” and of a “better life”, synonymous with a better quality of life.
