The Government of Zaragoza has approved this morning housing aid for women victims of gender violence for an amount of 150,000 euros. With this call, the City Council launches a new line of aid to facilitate the payment of rent or mortgage, giving them greater autonomy. In fact, housing is, along with employment, one of the main obstacles that victims face when separating from their aggressor.
The beneficiaries will receive a grant of 1,500 euros made in a single payment for expenses charged between January 1 and December 31, 2021. The day after its publication, in the BOPZ, a period will open until October 22 for request the grants, which will be resolved in order of presentation. To access them, victims of gender violence will have to be holders of a mortgage loan or a lease and be registered in the city. In addition, they must declare gross monthly income that does not exceed 2.5 times the Iprem.

Boost in hiring and sale of land for VPO
The Government of Zaragoza has approved the contracting procedure for the “Ebro Weir Operation, Maintenance and Conservation Service” with a maximum budget of 779,622.89 euros (VAT included) and a duration of four years. Also the contracting file related to the supply and service of “Maintenance and conservation of the horizontal and vertical signaling of the Zaragoza road network”. The tender budget amounts to 8,016,068.50 euros (VAT included) and the duration of the contract is four years.
In this way, progress continues in the work to improve municipal contracting, a task for which the Presidency, Finance and Interior area promoted in 2019 a shock plan to regularize contracts that, in some cases, had expired up to 10 years . Only in 2020, the Consistory promoted contracts worth almost 260 million euros.
Likewise, this morning’s Government has also approved the list of economic-technical-administrative clauses that will govern the sale through public bidding, with the award of the most advantageous economic offer through a plurality of criteria, of plot UR-1, of municipal property. This is a land resulting from the Reparcelling Project of the intervention area F-57-3 that will be used for the construction of 90 protection homes in Aragon. The plot is valued at 2,315,886 euros and the payment of the price of 20% is established in one month from the notification to the successful tenderer and the remaining 80% in a period not exceeding six months, making it coincide with the deadline to request.
