Household credit loans are now’needles’-Daegu newspaper

Ahead of the end of the year, banks, which are having difficulty in managing the total amount of household loans, have reached the stage of completely stopping credit loans exceeding 100 million won, which was unprecedented.

According to the financial sector on the 13th, KB Kookmin Bank will in principle block all household credit loans exceeding 100 million won from the 14th to the end of the year. It means that if the credit loan that the consumer has applied for or requested for an increase (including group credit loans and negative bankbooks) exceeds 100 million won in addition to the existing credit loans, the loan will not be granted.

In addition, from the same day, KB Kookmin Bank decided to stop the so-called’other bank mortgage loan’ by the end of the year, changing the mortgage loan from another bank to KB Kookmin Bank’s mortgage loan for reasons such as interest rates.

An official from KB Kookmin Bank explained the purpose of “to preemptively manage the limit (total amount) of household loans.” He added, “There are some cases of reducing the limits of some loan products or strict adjustments to the terms, but it is very rare that the banks as a whole have completely stopped lending over 100 million won in credits, so we can not remember similar cases.”

From the 14th, Shinhan Bank will simultaneously lower the credit limit for professional positions such as doctors and lawyers to 200 million won. Existing professional credit loan limits ranged from 250 million to 300 million won, depending on the product for each specific occupation. The maximum is reduced by 100 million won from 300 million won to 200 million won. In addition to this, Shinhan Bank is planning to introduce a policy to restrict credit loans to non-professionals in the next week.

Hana Bank is also considering lowering the loan limit for professional workers sooner or later. Starting on the 9th, KB Kookmin Bank completely banned the recruitment of mortgages and loans to all households through loan counselors. Similar to a card recruiter, a loan consultant acts as a loan consultation counter outside the bank and connects the actual bank and the borrower (the borrower), which means that they will not accept loan applications through them for the time being. On the 11th, Woori Bank even halted the sale of’We WON Office Worker Loans’, a major product of non-face-to-face credit loans.
