Halle –

In Halle, a fierce fire raged in a house in Albertstraat on Monday evening. One person was slightly injured and the fire made the house uninhabitable. The fire brigade reports this.

The fire started in the kitchen of the house shortly after 6 pm and it was neighbors who saw the flames blow from the back of the building and alerted the fire brigade. As it rushed, the residents of the affected house were able to get themselves to safety. One woman was slightly injured, but could be treated on the spot.

The fire caused a thick cloud of smoke and the fire brigade had to send several teams to the site to extinguish the fire. The local police Zennevallei (Halle / Beersel / Sint-Pieters-Leeuw) meanwhile closed several streets to allow the fire brigade to carry out its extinguishing work. When the flames were finally contained, the kitchen of the house was found to be badly damaged. The rest of the building mainly suffered smoke and water damage, so that the house is at least temporarily uninhabitable.
