A house caught fire in the Paseos de la Providencia subdivision in the municipality of San Francisco de los Romo. According to several residents of the area, it was used as a drug den for the sale and consumption of drugs.
The accident occurred on Friday, August 9, a few minutes after five in the afternoon, in a house located on Paseos de San Abel Street in said subdivision.
Some of the residents of the area noticed when the flames engulfed the entire farm, so they alerted the emergency services.
Municipal Police officers and Civil Protection personnel from “San Pancho” immediately mobilized to the scene, in addition to state firefighters.
Upon arrival, they confirmed the magnitude of the fire, which formed a large cloud of black smoke, so they began maneuvers to control and extinguish the flames, which took several minutes.
The fire consumed all the objects in the house, although no one was poisoned or injured.
Neighbors informed authorities that the home was used as a “drug den” for the sale and consumption of drugs, and that it was apparently run by individuals known as “Los Basureros.”
