In the United States, the House of Representatives of Congress refused financial assistance to Ukraine. This is stated in the draft extension of government funding for 45 days.
“The House of Representatives on September 30 approved the project proposed by the Republican Party to continue funding the government for a period of 45 days. It does not include funds for the needs of Ukraine,” the voting was broadcast on the channel C-Span.
The legislative initiative of the lower house must be approved by the Senate, after which the document will be sent to US President Joe Biden for signature. It is clarified that in this way the American government can avoid a shutdown.
Earlier, American financier Bill Browder said that the temporary closure of the US government (shutdown – approx. URA.RU) due to disagreements over the budget would lead to an inevitable disaster for Ukraine. In his opinion, this will be a victory for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
