TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Vice Chairman Commission IX DPR RI Melki Laka Lena gave a number of inputs regarding the conditions health workers (nakes) who are tired, sick, and even die while fighting on the front lines during the pandemic Covid-19.
Melki urged health workers to be protected with high-quality personal protective equipment (PPE).
Thus, health workers are protected from the threat of exposure Covid-19.
“We urge the government and all parties to protect health workers with high-quality PPE when fighting in the field,” said Melki, to reporters, Thursday (1/7/2021).
Seeing the development and impact of the current virus transmission, Melki also assessed that it was time for health workers to be given a booster of the three vaccines.
It is hoped that the booster, he said, can protect them from the impact of the new, more virulent and worrying Covid-19 variant.

The Golkar politician explained the need for a special place for isolation for positive health workers Covid-19.
Nakes incentives should also be given periodically per month or within a specified time, so that nakes morale along with the family remains high in this struggle.
“There needs to be a special place or isolation for health workers who are positive for COVID or who need to be treated, so that health workers are prioritized to get a place for isolation or treatment when exposed to COVID,” said Melki.
