The fire broke out around 8 a.m. on the upper floor of a family home on Erfurter Strasse, the police said.
The fire brigade was there quickly, but any help came too late for a resident of the house: she could only be bent dead.
“The second resident was saved with burn injuries and smoke inhalation. He was transported to a special clinic for further treatment,” added a spokesman.

A first responder was also injured trying to get into the burning house, he was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital.

Firefighters had put out the fire around 9 a.m. The house was apparently badly damaged and is currently uninhabitable, the police spokesman added.
There is no estimate of the amount of property damage. The cause of the fire is also still unclear.
The police have started investigations into this.
