Geography and climate
With an area of 8,514,876 km² in 2011 and a population of 192,376,496 inhabitants, the Brazil is the largest country in Latin America. It is also the largest Portuguese-speaking country in the world since the Brazilians are more numerous than the Portuguese themselves! A large part of the land area of the country is covered by the famazonian forest, the South-East regions grouping the main megacities of the country. The rainy season extends from November to May.
Story and management
Sao Polo and Rio de Janeiro are two main cities in this predominantly Catholic country. The Atlantic coasts of Brazil were reached by the Portuguese Cabral in 1500. During the 16th century, a large number of slaves from Africa enabled extensive exploitation of the country’s sugar resources.
