Hour-long delay A2 at Born after accident with three trucks

Three trucks collided with each other on the A2 highway near Born this morning. As a result, two lanes in the direction of Maastricht are closed.

Nothing is known about victims yet, the regional broadcaster reports 1Limburg† Two ambulances are now at the scene of the accident.

This created a traffic jam of about eight kilometers. A spokesperson for Rijkswaterstaat says that the cleanup work will take at least three hours. “There is a lot of asphalt damage and a lot of oil on the road surface. Two trucks have to be salvaged and one can drive off independently.”

Traffic can use the left lane. According to the ANWB, the delay is more than an hour and a half.
