Lecturer at the University of Indonesia (UI) Goodbye Armando through his attorney Muannas Alaidid sent a subpoena to the Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno regarding the tweet on social media (social media). PAN Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) Slamet Ariyadi assessed Ade Armando’s subpoena against Eddy Soeparno wrong address.
“Judging from the material of the subpoena, they concluded that AA was Ade Armando. Meanwhile the Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno never mentioned Ade Armando’s name in his tweets. From here, it’s clear the address is wrong!” said Slamet Ariyadi to reporters, Monday (17/4/2022).
Slamet, who is also a member of the DPR RI from the Madura electoral district, emphasized that the PAN DPP will take a stand and take action against Ade Armando’s party who sent a subpoena to Eddy Soeparno. He said the position of Secretary-General was a symbol of the party’s honor.
“Ketum and Secretary General are symbols and honor of the party. If there are accusations against them, it means dealing with institutions and no longer individuals. We at PAN will respond with measures that are measured, dignified and within the corridor of applicable law,” said Slamet.
The Secretary General of Barisan Muda PAN (BM PAN) considered that it would be better if Ade Armando and his legal counsel focused on investigating the perpetrators of the beatings during the April 11 demonstration.
“Of course the perpetrators of violence against Ade Armando must be investigated thoroughly,” continued Slamet.
Slamet also suggested that Ade Armando and his attorney should ask for clarification regarding Ade Armando’s status. This is for the good of Ade Armando himself.
“Everyone can also read news and information that says Ade Armando’s SP3 has been revoked by the South Jakarta District Court and is considered invalid. Lawyers should be busy clarifying this for Ade Armando’s own good. They are not busy sending subpoenas here and there,” closed Slamet.
PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno was previously summoned Goodbye Armando through his attorney Muannas Alaidid. The summons was filed in relation to Eddy’s tweet about blasphemy which Muannas claimed was alleged to be against Ade Armando.
Seen detik.com on Monday (18/4/2022), Eddy Soeparno indeed, on his Twitter account @eddy_soeparno tweeted about blasphemy and religious scholars on April 12, 2022, at 19.06 WIB.
The following is the content of Eddy’s tweet:
I support investigations and legal action against perpetrators of violence against AA, but I also support firm legal action against those who insult religion and ulama, including AA.
Eddy did not explicitly mention a blasphemer of religion and he meant Ade Armando. He only wrote the initials AA.
“If within 3×24 hours you do not delete the tweet and immediately apologize to our client via your Twitter account, then we will file a criminal and civil lawsuit,” Muanas wrote in his subpoena.
