The name Teddy Minahasa emerged from the disclosure of a drug case by the West Sumatran police in May 2022 with evidence of 41.4 kilograms of crystalline methamphetamine worth Rp 62.1 billion. Former Bukittinggi Police Chief, Deputy Senior Commissioner Dody Prawiranegara, is said to have replaced the 5 kilograms of crystalline methamphetamine with alum.
According to AKBP Dody’s confession, Teddy Minahasa ordered him to exchange evidence of shabu for alum. “It’s Mr. TM’s orders. The alleged exchange of methamphetamine for alum occurred when Dody served as Bukittinggi police chief and a subordinate of Teddy Minahasa, who served as West Sumatran police chief.
Adriel said Teddy Minahasa would order Dody to switch sabu with alum via short messages. “‘Mas I swap methamphetamine for alum, a quarter,'” Adriel said, mimicking Teddy’s message to Dody.
