Otto Hasibuan and other members of Peradi are still holding Hotman Paris and do not want to rush into accepting the resignation.

Because, if Hotman’s resignation is granted, it would violate Law Number 18 of 2003 concerning Advocates.

“If we grant it, it violates Article 30 of the Advocate Law,” he explained.

In Article 30 Paragraph (2) of the Advocates Law, it is stated that, “Every Advocate appointed under this Law is obliged to become a member of the Advocates Organization.”

Otto also explained in more detail the contents of Article 30 of the Advocates Law, even what is meant by an advocate organization in this case is Peradi.
