Hotman Paris Explains Winda Money Used for Forex Trading Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Famous lawyer who is also a lawyer for PT Maybank Indonesia , Hotman Paris, admitted that he could not stop thinking about a number of irregularities in the case of missing money in deposits (burglary) Winda Lunardi aka Winda Earl.

Winda reported that she and her parents lost more than IDR 20 billion in savings due to an unscrupulous branch head Maybank Indonesia Cipulir, South Jakarta.

One of the oddities in this case, said Hotman, was Winda’s money that was used by the suspect for trading forex. This illegal activity is more commonly known as “bank in bank” activity.

“It is admitted that there is one head of a bank branch who practices banking in banking, namely using customer money to do business, and he did not run away. He was there using customer money,” Hotman said at the event. Prime Talk by Metro TV, Sunday (15/11/2020).

Hotman said that his party did not accuse the victim of knowing about the transaction. But that is what the authorities are still investigating in order to be complete.

“So the question is whether he (the perpetrator) uses the customer’s money with the customer’s approval to get a bigger profit, because some of the money is used to play forex,” said Hotman.

“We do not accuse the account owner of helping. But you will evaluate it later and the legal institution will assess the irregularities,” said Hotman again.

He then linked it to a money transfer made by a branch head to a personal account in the name of Herman Lunarni, who was none other than Winda Eerl’s father. Transfers are made with the perpetrator’s personal account at Bank BCA.

Compensation settlement

Hotman emphasized that his client wanted an investigation from the police to make it absolutely clear. If the facts support it, Maybank will compensate Winda Lunardi.

“If you are the owner of a bank or cooperative (savings and loan), try to imagine if you have a customer who claims that his account has been compromised. But then there is evidence that large amounts of money have flowed to family members,” said Hotman from his Instagram account page.

So that the problem can be resolved quickly, Hotman also invited Winda to come to meet him.

“Regarding the PT Maybank case, I advise you to find it win-win solution. Please Winda, the account owner, come to Kopi Jhoni to meet me, “said Hotamn.

According to him, to find a solution to the problem faced by Winda Earl, he needs to meet directly with Winda and his legal authorities.

He considered that there were many irregularities in the Winda Earl account case. He said Maybank Indonesia stated that it was willing to compensate all losses as long as the legal problem could be resolved.

“Even though I am a lawyer from Maybank, because I know Maybank is very strong. Its assets in Indonesia alone are Rp. 175 trillion, if it is only Rp. 20 billion, it is not Maybank’s problem as long as the law is clear,” said Hotman Paris.

Further Hotman, Maybank and his party as the legal authority is very open to solve the problem. Party Winda Earl also must be able to prove that the facts submitted are legally acceptable.
