Hotman Paris Hutapea alludes to the three-term term of office of the General Chairperson of Peradi Otto Hasibuan. Hotman also challenged Otto to show a decree for the management of Peradi for three terms.
“Try Otto in 2×24 hours to show that it is true that he already has a decree from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs regarding his management, for the third time. Because according to Peradi’s articles of association, it can only be done twice,” said Hotman when contacted, Monday (18/4/2022).
Hotman asked Otto to show the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Decree. He compared it to the lawyer organization where he currently joins, namely the National Lawyers Council (DPN).
“Now ask Otto, is there a decree from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs for three terms, because for example the DPN I joined has the name of the administrator. Because it is closely related to the validity of the hundreds of thousands of lawyers’ cards that he signed,” he said.
One of Hotman’s Reasons to Resign
Hotman said the decree for Otto’s management was one of the reasons he resigned. According to him, Peradi is not safe because he does not have a decree from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.
“So try asking whether there is a decree from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs authorizing Otto and his management, if it doesn’t exist, imagine what happened? That’s one of the reasons I resigned, if there is, show it. SK regarding three times he (Otto) has served,” he said.
“So I’m looking to be safe, I go to an organization where there is a ministerial decree. Because on the advocate card the name of the Ketum is signed, if the DPN has his signature. It is known, Hotman Paris declared himself out of the organization of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi). Hotman said he had joined another advocate organization, namely the DPN.
