Hotels that will be a ‘bunker’ for LaLiga teams | Radio Club Tenerife | Present

The hotels where the LaLiga teams will stay will be the closest thing to a bunker starting this week. All staff will pass PCR tests to avoid surprises, footballers will use individual rooms (and not shared, as was customary) and the use of common areas will be restricted to the maximum.

The Silken Atlántida hotel will be the headquarters of the teams that visit the Heliodoro Rodríguez López and its director, Gabriel Wolfeschaffen, explained this Tuesday on Radio Club Tenerife that “the situation is new for everyone.”

“Our chain has given us the good news that we are going to be the host hotel for five LaLiga clubs.” Specifically and in this order: Malaga, Mirandés, Deportivo, Real Zaragoza and Lugo.

“We started this weekend with a visit from Malaga,” confirmed Wolfeshaffen, who stressed that the Andalusian club will spend the night in Santa Cruz. Others? “They will tell us,” he replied.

The Silken Atlantis director pointed out that closeness to Heliodorus was not the main thing. “They wanted a hotel that guarantees the strict protocols necessary for this type of travel; we have hundreds of visits from professional clubs behind us,” he argued.

Set of masks and gloves, gel dispensers, disinfected mats … Everything is ready for the first LaLiga teams to arrive. “Without neglecting the image or the comfort of the hotel, but adapted to this new stage that we have to live”. The hotel reopened on Monday and customers are being “very understanding,” says the director.

Malaga will have 48 individual rooms, there will be controls at the entrances, they will arrive in two coaches and PCR tests will be carried out at origin, as the Government of the Canary Islands demands for the entry of passengers on airplanes that are already beginning to arrive in the Archipelago.
