In “Hotel Romantiek”, a group of over-65s in search of love embark on an adventurous journey, led by three presenters as tour guides. The program previously ran on Play4, where Sven de Leijer presented it together with Otto-Jan Ham and Frances Lefebure.
The program is back: production house Woestijnvis now makes “Hotel Romantiek” for the public broadcaster. “The program is more relevant than ever. Finding love is a challenge for everyone, especially in these corona times,” says Lotte Vermeir, network manager of One. “But for the elderly it has become even more difficult. How do you meet new people at a certain age, especially now that they had to be extra careful with their contacts?”
De Leijer will present the program again, together with Gloria Monserez, and a third face, which will be announced later. De Leijer and Monserez are very enthusiastic about their first collaboration, as they told in “Peace on Earth” on One.
After programs on Ketnet and Stubru, this will be Monserez’s first achievement on One. “Sven already has a lot of experience at One, and is perfectly complemented by new talent Gloria. I am very happy that we can take this next step on One with her,” said Lotte Vermeir of One.
Interested singles aged 65 and over who are looking for adventure and love can register before Friday 11 March on the website of One. “Hotel Romance” will air later in 2022.
