Government policies tighten PPKM The impact of soaring COVID-19 cases has affected the hotel and restaurant business. Moreover, all activities are limited only until 20.00.

The entrepreneur also admitted that he could not do much to maintain income in the midst of this policy

“We’ve run out of strategies, what strategy to use, we’ve run out. We don’t have any more strategies,” said Chairman of the Jakarta Hotel & Restaurant Association (PHRI) Sutrisno Iwantono to detikcom, Saturday (26/6/2021).

He also admitted that he had resigned himself to the current situation, “It can’t be helped, we just give up,” he continued.

He said the number of visitors will drop drastically, from the previous 35%-25% of visitors, it will likely decrease again until the remaining 10%-15%.

However, Sutrisno explained the policy PPKM unavoidable because the authority lies with the government, and this regulation is also carried out to resolve the pandemic.

“Yes, it has to be, what will happen if there are additional large cases, when will this pandemic end. PPKM It’s okay if it really works,” he explained.

“That’s the decision, we don’t have any other choice, the authority is in the government. Our position is in principle with the government,” continued Sutrisno.
