“Hotel Dieu-de-France Hospital Denies Rumors of Refusing to Release Deceased Patient’s Body”

The management of the “Hotel Dieu-de-France” hospital issued a statement saying: “In response to the news that is being circulated on some social networking sites, according to which the management of the Hotel-Dieu-de-France hospital refuses to hand over the body of a young woman, who died after a long struggle with her illness until after to pay a sum of money.

The statement added, “The hospital administration would like to categorically deny this news, which is untrue and completely contradicts the mission, principles and tasks of the hospital, which is to provide health care services to all citizens without any distinction or discrimination.”

The hospital administration stresses that “this method has never been used by it, and it contradicts its approved message in dealing with its patients and their families, especially in a sensitive issue such as handing over a corpse to its relatives.”
