If you are a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC user, you must know, because some time ago without any announcement from Microsoft, the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 version has started to be launched, you know.
This version certainly brings a number of advantages and pluses from the previous LTSC version, such as the absence of the Microsoft Store, Bloatware and others, including the addition of a number of new features that Microsoft has introduced in Windows 10 21H2. For the features and improvements that are presented, you can see the full description on the Microsoft page following.
But in general, these improvements include key features that Microsoft has introduced since Windows 10 1903 – 21H2, such as Reserverd Storage, Microsoft Intune support, WSL 2 now available by default, Improved Windows Hello, Windows Sandbox and a few other things.
Well, if you are a user of the previous generation of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, be it the 2016 or 2019 version, of course updating to the 2021 version, you will get lots of new features. But there is one drawback that you might notice and the reason why you are not eligible to update your Windows 10 LTSC to this version of 2021? what’s that?
Lifecycle
Yep, starting Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, the support provided by Microsoft is only 5 years since its release, which is shorter than the previous LTSC version which received support for up to 10 years.
I myself, as a Windows 10 LTSC 2019 user, don’t think I will update this system to a newer version, because with the features that already exist today, and the support that I feel is longer and can support the life of my old school laptop, Windows 10 LTSC 2019 is still very enough to accompany my daily life.
